ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I was inspired to paint this work by our need to repair our world and looking back now I should have called it Conservation. It’s in ever so gentle tones. Sometimes there seems to be so much doom and gloom in our world with animals endangered and climate change. This is my interpretation of us all being aware and doing our little something to help with Conservation Under the layers of paint lay hidden words in graphite - all those words you wish to hear in our changing world ‘beautiful, adored, gorgeous, kind’. For some it is saving the elephants and bears. And for others, it’s to fight for what is right in our world. And somehow when I was painting this work I felt all those things and those feelings seem to come out in the work itself. Gorgeous pastels fill tiny spaces and take you into the depths of the landscape and there’s some sheet music which makes the work and world sing. Our world truly is a beautiful place and one we should Adore Mixed media on canvas - acrylics, pencil, charcoal, pastels and paper 71inches (W) x 48inches (H) x 1.5inches (D) NOT framed - This work does not come on any frame.
