Artist statement My art serves as a window into the stories that define us—the memories that linger and the moments that shape our existence. With each brushstroke of acrylic and oil, I paint the highs and lows of our shared human experience. But it's not just about the visible canvas; it's about the abstract backgrounds—the chaos and calm, the noise and silence—that weave the fabric of our lives. These backgrounds are more than mere splashes of color; they represent the unseen world behind our stories—a world filled with love, struggle, and our deep connection to nature. When you stand before my canvases, you're invited to explore your own journey mirrored in the colors and shapes. My mix of materials—from the smoothness of oil to the texture of acrylics—symbolizes the resilience and strength I carry within, even when faced with life's challenges. Each painting becomes an open door, inviting you to step in and discover your own narrative within the vibrant hues and intricate patterns. Techniques: The abstract backgrounds in my works hold deeper significance than mere aesthetics. Some may wonder why I choose these intricate patterns. The answer lies in my unique approach. Using flat, expired ATM cards, I apply background paint, deliberately creating lines and breaks. These fractured lines, often crossing in contrasting colors, add emotional layers to the artworks. They symbolize the intensity of memories—the passion of past experiences—and the complexity of personal narratives. The abstract patterns themselves mirror the chaotic and unpredictable nature of our world. Through color contrast and deliberate composition, I weave a narrative that transcends the visible canvas. My art invites you to step beyond the surface, to explore the threads connecting us all—a vibrant tapestry of life, waiting to be unraveled.
