Fantasy Meets Reality Series: Vito Bonanno is an outsider artist that works with artist mentors to introduce him to new paint mediums and methods, but he is formally untrained and the art he creates is a true part of himself. In this series, Vito created exactly what he wanted without thought about whether it would be too personal to be marketable. He always creates fantasy characters of animals and people and in this series fantasy characters are mixed in with actual people and places of his daily life here in CT. Vito stayed true to his style by making his classic colorful choices, this time in oil paint and india ink. His hyper-focused dream state style rings true in this series with his bold images that hope to provoke a smile, as well as your interest and imagination.
