This is primarily alcohol ink on Yupo paper. The black and white inks bleed different color (blues, reds) depending on the chemical it is mixed with, creating a unique sort of nebula like patterns throughout the painting. It's a unique and wonderful medium.

Sarah Intemann a contemporary artist known for her vibrant and thought-provoking works that explore themes of identity, nature, and human connection. Sarah is a highly versatile artist, who navigates between representational and abstract forms. She was trained traditionally in oils, studying abroad in both Edinburgh, Scotland and Rome and Florence Italy, and receiving a BFA with a concentration in painting. Upon graduating she moved to New York City, where she drew from her personal experiences and the world around her to expound upon her traditional painting knowledge and delve into the world of abstraction, developing her unique abstract mark. Intemann's art often combines a blend of abstraction and figurative elements to evoke deep emotional responses. Her distinctive style utilizes bold color palettes and intricate textures to create dynamic compositions, which invite viewers to reflect on their own perceptions and relationships to the world and their environment. Throughout her career, Sarah has exhibited her work in various traditional and non-traditional spaces across the US including: museums, galleries, music venues, businesses and art festivals. You can find her work in various online article interviews, the Savvy painter podcast, and publications in the UK and US. where she has earned recognition for her unique approach to storytelling through visual art. Intemann moved from NYC to Ellicott City, Maryland in 2022, where she has earned awards exhibiting locally, and where she maintains her studio practice.
