About The Artwork
In 2019 I traveled to Paris and toured the catacombs under the city. I was inspired by the many remains, the history of how they bones came to be in this location and the manner that they were stacked. I wanted to combine the human bones with an image of the cells of human bones in the background to give the work some abstraction and interest. I love to draw in detail and to paint in the same work in order to combine Realism and Abstraction into one work of art.
