ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This portrait was produced in my usual format of adhering found and vintage textiles to a wooden panel. The fabric used here are fragments from a vintage American quilt The red and pink area is an american flag stripes. The portrait is a striking face on image, achieved with many light layers of ink and acrylic and is accented with a fine circle of gold leaf. Ready to hang, this is a deep wood panel.

Pam Glew, born 1978, is a mixed media painter, known for her use of fabric, flags and bleached canvases. She exhibits internationally, with solo shows in London, Paris and Sydney and has exhibited at Dallas Contemporary and Honolulu Museum of Art. Pam has produced numerous commissions for fashion brands from Ralph Lauren to Armani, MTV and Microsoft. Her work is housed at Saatchi & Saatchi London, Mitsubishi Bank, and in collections worldwide. Pam is co-curator at Paxton+Glew Gallery, showing contemporary art in Brighton's Lanes.
