My name is Swadha. I am a sustainable artist. With over 12+ years of experience in the Advertising industry, I also specialize in design, creative direction and visual communication.. Over the years, I’ve been playing the role of a daughter, wife, mother and a painter deftly. The multiple hats I wear allows me to learn and grow everyday with varied experiences. To me, painting is meditation. I’ve showcased my art work in multiple Art exhibitions and galleries in New Delhi. My tryst with sustainable art started more than a decade ago, initially with upcycling used wine bottles into lamps and vases and later expanding into converting discarded utensils into home décor items. Taking my experiments further I started working with natural dyes initially with coffee and tea. My impressions on canvas with coffee wash and ink drawing turned out to be the most sought art work in my circle. As a sustainable artist my creations are replete with ingredients consisting of natural elements. Recently 13 of my paintings made using colours from vegetable and natural dyes extracted from beetroot, spinach, turmeric, coffee and indigo have been bought by TATA BlueScope Steel for their Pune Corporate office and the digital version of the paintings has been turned into a desktop calendar for 2024. Currently, I am working on my next series with thread, and natural dyes with pen on paper and canvas. I am open to collaborations for conducting art workshops for corporates and art enthusiasts of various age groups.
