About The Artwork

This image is part of a series of artworks that give recognition to the pioneers in aviation. The Ford Tri-Motor - also known as the Tin Goose first took flight in 1926 - historic and sightseeing models are still being flown today. The Tri-Motor was one of the earliest all metal passenger aircraft in the United States and was powered by 3 Curtis-Wright air-cooled radial engines. The painting is a celebration of this aircraft with bold and vibrant colors. I love to paint subjects of science and technology in a contemporary manner! I hope you enjoy. More to come! Frank

Martin’s appreciation of industry was bred during and after his college years. His minor in photography as well as a variety of mentors in his early years ignited his appreciation for design, art and industry. His architectural and engineering training exposed him to various industrial locations and settings. One of the most formative experiences was being exposed to the world of industrial photography. While the photographers were focusing on capturing the processes, Martin saw the beauty in the colors and forms being captured. Martin eventually went on to open a graphic arts and printing company and while there developed and extended his techniques. Over the years, the range of projects and clients grew. Martin saw great opportunity to bring artistry to areas of industry and business that heretofore had not been translated into art. The current focus on cities, aviation and financial related artworks has struck a chord with the industry. The need for artwork that was more creatively focused has been gaining great popularity. The colors and textures as well as technical and historical accuracy have led Martin to some remarkable venues and outstanding projects with individual and corporate clients worldwide.
