Bathed in yellow like a quiet yellow brick road, Godass In da House invites playful awareness of the inner games we all play. The three masks reflect Ass Mode (disempowered), Badass Mode (driven and forceful), and Godass Mode (present, playful, appreciative, and invisibly powerful beyond measure). T...

PLAy - Multidisciplinary Artist of Creative Coherence
PLAy is a London-based artist working across painting, assemblage, found objects, sculptural interventions, wordplay and conceptual storytelling.
Her practice begins with a simple question: What else could this become?
A discarded object becomes a portal. A baby wipe becomes an artistic material. A missing Happy Meal character becomes a meditation on wholeness. A door stops behaving like a boundary. A traffic light abandons the rules and begins to seduce.
PLAy transforms the overlooked, ordinary and culturally familiar into playful propositions about perception, value, identity and possibility. Her work develops through intuitive experimentation, synchronicity and close attention to materials that arrive unexpectedly and insist on joining the conversation.
Born in 1980s Warsaw and now based in London, PLAy grew up in a world where colour often felt rationed. Perhaps that is why her work now refuses visual politeness. It is abundant, humorous and unapologetically alive. Beneath the colour and mischief sit deeper questions: What determines the value of an object? Can appreciation transform an experience? Can discarded materials, and discarded parts of ourselves, be welcomed back into meaning?
PLAy uses humour not to avoid seriousness, but to open difficult questions without closing the door on curiosity, wonder or delight.
Her interconnected bodies of work include The Alchemist Kitchen, The Alchemist Playground, The Godass Loo, The aDOORable Series, Happy Me-all, The LucK We ACe, Yellow Camino and £1 for Nothing. Across them, domestic rituals, food, doors, toilets, popular culture, luck and discarded objects become material for visual alchemy. Paintings expand into assemblages, found objects acquire new identities, and wordplay becomes both title and tool. Each work stands alone while belonging to a larger artistic universe grounded in transformation and creative coherence.
PLAy’s work has been presented in the UK and internationally, including projects in Slovenia, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Germany and Dubai. She is also a founder and co-curator of Play Godass & The WhizzARTs, an interdisciplinary platform bringing together visual art, performance, imagination and consciousness.
PLAy is the author of PLAY GODASS: Discover the Hidden Map to a Magical Life.
