I am a London-based contemporary abstract painter and mixed-media artist whose work is centred on creating joyful, emotionally resonant pieces that celebrate the beauty of everyday moments. I draw inspiration from the quiet rhythms of home life and the vibrant palette of the natural world, often resulting in abstract landscape or figurative compositions. My pieces are deeply intuitive and layered, combining the rich texture of oil paint with the immediacy of soft pastels and chalks to create paintings that exude warmth, comfort, and colour. My goal is to create happy art for real homes, offering collectors a piece of warmth and personal history. My method is one of sustained layering and intuitive excavation. I begin each piece with mixed-media elements, building a history on the canvas before applying thick, expressive layers of oil and cold wax. The subsequent application of chalks and pastels allows me to scratch, blend, and rework surfaces, resulting in a rich, atmospheric texture. This process ensures that each finished work possesses both high technical quality and a compelling sense of depth.
