PROCESS I start by painting several individual and complete artworks. I than curate these into single frames or storyboards. They are than professionally photographed; picking up all the layers, scratching’s and surface textures, which are crucial to the digital enhancements. My selection is based on creating a deeper landscape, story or journey. -- ABOUT THE ETHEREAL REALM SERIES It is a fine art journey, toward digital unity. One account of the many stories around exclusion, within society and the self. The divided effects or undertones that ‘status’ fosters can trigger an individual at their core value of self worth. It has touched us all, at one time or another influenced by; race, class, education, appearance, experience, orientation or behaviour through to our beliefs and our choices. One personal experience of this, is the perceived distinction and value placed on two 'art classes’ or disciplines that I hold dear; • One, I believed to be ‘worthy' or more valuable, that of fine art, & • The other, ‘unworthy' or less valuable, that of digital art. I endeavour to bring both skills into a balance of equal standing, working synergistically to enhance and beautify each other. This outcome of unity is more holistic and aligned with where I am today. Cultivating acceptance, healing and beauty by revering the value of differences, for the unique qualities & perspectives they bring. --
