"This is one of nine paintings I did of my close friend and muse, Diana Maria Watts. The first time I saw her, I was drawn to her profile and knew that I had to photograph her. She happily agreed and we have had many photo sessions since. I can do anything with her face but I always start turning her into a geisha. I don't know why. Contrary to what some people believe , geisha does not mean prostitute. An authentic geisha is just a lady who wants to follow the traditions of Japanese culture. It takes many years to become a geisha and it is an honor to be one" - Jacinthe Lamontagne-Lecomte Here is the second version of MA GEISHA. The first is in Australia.
