Karan Dhankani (b. 2002) is a self-taught visual artist focused on mixed-media collage. Alongside his creative practice, he holds an MSc in business analysis, a background that informs his structured approach to complex visual narratives. Dhankani’s work explores themes of human psychology, spirituality, existentialism, and the concept of free will. By combining historical imagery, anatomical drawings, and religious iconography with textured, weathered backgrounds, his collages act as psychological landscapes. His pieces examine the tension between internal human experiences, such as guilt and self-acceptance, and the broader systems that govern them. Through a process of deconstruction and reassembly, Dhankani layers disparate elements to investigate how personal identity and autonomy are constructed.
