About The Artwork
'Journaling Earth' is the signature work in the Journaling Earth series. I like to think of this series as documentation of the notes Mother Nature makes on the rocks, the ground, and weathered trunks, carving details into windswept beaches. Each tide, storm, and sun filled day brings a new opportunity for new details to be seen. This 36" x 36" highly textured work is teal, blue, green, turquoise, copper, and gold primarily, with warm bronze, and soft blue highlights. As daylight shifts across the painting, it will significantly change: the texture and gold leaf allow for shadows and light to dance across the surface. The painting is textured on all sides, there is no need for framing. Installation hardware is included.

My family moved to the US from a tiny island in the English Channel. As a child, I would play in the tidal pools, explore the forests, and very carefully, very, very carefully, walk along the cliffs. Guernsey is still my heart, although now the hearty state of Minnesota is my home. My love for water, the sea, the stones and rocks, the trees and wildlife, are combined with my passion for travel and history,and somehow, all this tumbles out onto the canvas. My current series are Purely Textural, Witnessing Waves, Shifting, Road Trip, and my zero waste project, the tiny Fireflies. I hope you enjoy my art, and are able to explore a bit of the magic the canvas holds.
