Vi Nguyen from Beaded Bodega is a Vietnamese-American bead embroidery artist with a soul from California and a mindset of a New Yorker.
Spending her life growing up in both Southern and Northern California and later moving to New York, her artwork connects with her upbringing in both coastal cultures through immigrant parents. She currently resides in Orange County, California.
Vi is a self-taught artist bringing you delightfully nostalgic and icon branded snacks and drinks, with an ode to Asian treats from her childhood. Her hand embroidered beadwork is created to bring joy, nostalgia and community through an unexpected eye-catching medium, glass beads. Combining her love for snacks and seeking a new creative outlet for handmade goods, Beaded Bodega began in late 2020.
