ALLA GRANDE is a German visual artist with a background in art, architecture, and design. Her studies shaped a profound understanding of space, structure, and materiality that continues to form the foundation of her artistic practice today.

From an early age, she developed a strong sensitivity to form, rhythm, and spatial composition. After working in the fields of design, painting, and sculpture, she developed a distinctive artistic language that connects art, architecture, and psychological perception.

Her sculptural wall reliefs emerge through a complex, process-oriented, yet intuitive working method in which natural materials are transformed into intricate spatial compositions. Through folding, tension, and compression, she creates works that exist between image, relief, and object.

At the core of her practice are questions of perception, memory, transformation, and human experience. Light, shadow, and material become active components of the composition, altering the perception of the works according to the viewer’s perspective and spatial context.
