This work belongs to a series devoted to transhumanism, as a philosophy aiming to augment the human being and make it into a kind of sophisticated machine that can be improved and repaired infinitely. The human figure tends to disappear behind technology, each organ, each part of the body becomes like a puzzle piece that can be recombined infinitely. “La Vierge Folle III” shows a woman posing with her hands crossed in front of her, a woman in the process of shattering, of dispersing. The body has been transformed into a material that evokes mineral and rusty metal. The title is a reference to a sculpture by Germaine Richier. This work is produced in mixed media on canvas. It combines photography, digital art and acrylic painting (lacquered glaze and relief squares), it is a unique piece and it is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The painting is framed in black wood (dimensions: approximately 102 x 127 x 3.5 cm)
