ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My work is a love story about second chances. I collect materials and deconstruct them in ways that become recognizable.I use found forms and give them a second life from being discarded. I work to create objects that bring joy to my life as well as sharing in that joy with others. This is a rag rug I took apart and each sequin is individually hammered into the form. The tail is an old coat rack and the eye is trimmed in a zipper.
