Emily Maddigan

I grew up in Michigan making crafts with my mom, repurposing toilet rolls and scraps of fabric. I attended MSU and CSULB focusing more on ceramics then anything else. I felt limited by clay and began using any material I could get my hands on. I spend many hours daydreaming about what and how I can use a certain material and even more time applying each sequin one by one. Detail and care is of utmost value to my process, and I allow viewer to slowly investigate and discover what it is they are actually looking at.
