“The Secret” is a double female portrait, treated both in a pictorialist aesthetic (the photography imitating the painting) and in a classical inspiration (the character resembles a marble statue). More precisely, it is a split portrait, since it is the same woman who speaks in the ear and who listens. Image of consciousness? from the unconscious? The best kept secret is the one you don't share, or only with yourself... This painting is made in mixed technique on canvas and combines photography, digital composition and acrylic painting (glossy glaze); This is a unique piece, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. It is signed both on the front (in the raised square) and on the back of the canvas, which is framed in black wood (total dimensions: approximately 74 x 47 x 3.5 cm)

« In the age of digital technologies, I couldn't just be a painter or a photographer. My 'paintographies' bring down borders between techniques and offer a resolutely contemporary hybrid art. » I was born in 1975 in a small town in the French countryside and arrived in Paris in 1992 for my studies (History, English and literature). I have been a professional artist since 2007, with over 60 exhibitions across France and Europe. My artistic approach is both simple and complex. Although my work portrays a figurative aesthetic that favors clarity, it does so through a complex blending of photography, digital art, and acrylic painting. The result is a mixed technique I call ‘paintography’. My compositions highlight the fragility of the human body. I transform my model into virtual sculptures by replacing their skin with mineral materials to represent the passage of time.
