About The Artwork

Leo Composition is a continuation of Starlight Threads, a series of works using gradients created from the colours found in starlight using AI and creative coding techniques. This piece has been created from the light found in the Leo constellation combined with geometric forms. Details of the piece Each Starlight Thread is an original piece, embroidered by hand by me in my studio. Digital print on Cold pressed watercolour paper with Thread. The watercolour paper is 300gsm and has a light/medium texture. The diameter of the circle is just under 23cm (around 22.8cm) which leaves around 2.5 cm of space from the circle to the edge of the paper for mounting etc. Framing If you would like the piece framed please get in touch via the contact form. Framing for this piece starts at £50 and will add an extra 10-14 working days to allow time for the work to be professionally framed. The work is framed in a white box frame with a floating mount with Art Glass which will ensure the longevity of the artwork.

Hannah Pratt is an interdisciplinary artist who examines the relationship between art and science. She uses these subject matters to tell a story that will raise awareness of global issues affecting our lives today. She works with a number of different mediums including painting, drawing, textiles and printing. Her subject matters and the mediums she uses to make her work create a partnership between analogue and digital art-making techniques which mirror the relationship between art and science. Hannah has exhibited and taken part in residencies extensively and recently her work was launched into space as part of the Art in Space programme run by Planet Labs. She also works with creative practitioners such as musicians and other visual artists to help to create a library of responses to contemporary scientific research.
