This work belongs to a series of paintings dedicated to transhumanism, as a philosophy and project aimed at increasing the human being and making it a kind of ultra-sophisticated machine that can be improved and repaired at the same time. infinite. The human figure tends to disappear behind technology, every organ, every part of the body becomes like a piece of a puzzle that can be combined endlessly. "Les Affinités Electives III" shows a couple who hold each other by the back in an embrace that is both distant and intimate, where we feel that the deconstructed elements of one body could be grafted onto the other body. The title is in reference to a novel by Goethe in which the writer attempts to lay the scientific bases explaining human relations. This work is made in mixed technique on canvas and combines photography, digital composition and acrylic painting (glaze and raised squares). It is a unique piece. It is framed in black wood

« In the age of digital technologies, I couldn't just be a painter or a photographer. My 'paintographies' bring down borders between techniques and offer a resolutely contemporary hybrid art. » I was born in 1975 in a small town in the French countryside and arrived in Paris in 1992 for my studies (History, English and literature). I have been a professional artist since 2007, with over 60 exhibitions across France and Europe. My artistic approach is both simple and complex. Although my work portrays a figurative aesthetic that favors clarity, it does so through a complex blending of photography, digital art, and acrylic painting. The result is a mixed technique I call ‘paintography’. My compositions highlight the fragility of the human body. I transform my model into virtual sculptures by replacing their skin with mineral materials to represent the passage of time.
