About The Artwork
Audrey Hepburn was such a lovely person, beautiful and kind and compassionate. This digital composition reflects her. Each dictionary page in the background highlights a word that describes Audrey. The pages from around the edges (on the original this will be the gallery wrap) are from a 7 language dictionary. They all define Love around the edges. The butterflies and the image of Audrey have been aged to wash over the book pages delicately. When I created this piece, it made me very happy. This is an homage to a beautiful person and an icon. The title, Loverly, comes from My Fair Lady, as that is how she said lovely when she was still the diamond in the rough. Every time I hear someone say loverly, I hear it in her voice in my head.
