ABOUT THE ARTWORK

An acrylic hand painting made on archival quality medium grain pure cotton canvas set up against pinewood stretcher bars; this painting was created using materials including gesso, modelling paste and wall putty to create textures, topped with acrylic paints and gloss varnish. The inspiration of this beautiful piece of artwork is from the art by L. Prang & Co. titled Magnolia (1886). To give it a unique touch and feel, a heavy textured finish was made to the artwork to make the flowers pop from the canvas. It is representative of the works of the artist, who loves furnishing a textured feel to her paintings. The artist wishes this piece to brighten any space with a pop of vibrant colors, presenting a view of something like looking at flowers blooming in the twilight. The product comes in a stretched canvas, painted along the sides and can be displayed as it is, if preferred. Please note that it is not framed and does not come with any hanging fixtures. The artwork is signed and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Born in India, Hanna spent all her childhood years in the Middle East (Dubai and Qatar). After completing her undergraduate studies at the College of the North Atlantic-Qatar (currently the University of Doha for Science and Technology) and Northumbria University Qatar, she presently resides in her home country India, plunging herself into her passion - creating Art. A self-taught artist, Hanna has been fascinated by the world of colors from a young age, spending her spare time among color pencils, books and always on the search for anything that could be used in making art. She draws inspiration from elements of nature, and one can spot portrayals of flowers, abstract landscapes and geometric designs in her artworks. She likes to add textural aspects into her works and loves how different textures can be felt by touch and other senses. Acrylic is her current medium of choice, as it enables her to add new layers, experiment with different mediums and designs without disturbing the previous layers of the paintings. Hanna finds art to be therapeutic, and the process of creating it an emotional experience. She loves how art can be a subjective experience, how it can evoke personal remembrances, emotions and experiences to the person(s) viewing them. She wishes and hopes to bring to others a pinch of happiness into their space and a warmth of handmade artwork that has an original artistic touch, created with love and care.
