"Meditation" is a work that belongs to a series of 17 paintings devoted to dance. Here, the ballerina is dressed in a modern way, she adopts a pose that combines balance and withdrawal into herself, seeming to bend her back against the aggressions of time that are ruining her outer envelope. The title is an echo of this attitude of serene and patient reflection in the face of the vicissitudes of existence. The painting is produced in a mixed technique on canvas and combines photography, digital composition and acrylic painting (glossy glazes and raised squares); it is a unique piece and it comes with a certificate of authenticity. It is signed both on the front (on the ballerina's slipper) and on the back of the canvas, which is framed in black wood (total dimensions: approximately 81 x 56 x 3.5 cm)

« In the age of digital technologies, I couldn't just be a painter or a photographer. My 'paintographies' bring down borders between techniques and offer a resolutely contemporary hybrid art. » I was born in 1975 in a small town in the French countryside and arrived in Paris in 1992 for my studies (History, English and literature). I have been a professional artist since 2007, with over 60 exhibitions across France and Europe. My artistic approach is both simple and complex. Although my work portrays a figurative aesthetic that favors clarity, it does so through a complex blending of photography, digital art, and acrylic painting. The result is a mixed technique I call ‘paintography’. My compositions highlight the fragility of the human body. I transform my model into virtual sculptures by replacing their skin with mineral materials to represent the passage of time.
