ABOUT THE ARTWORK
After a few years living on the Mediterranean sea, it's soon time to say goodbye; Not a forever goodbye, more of a 'see you later', but a wave nonetheless. As I try to gather the memories of my time here, in hopes of keeping them fresh beneath the surface, I realise what a challenge it is to encapsulate them. This patchwork composition tries to understand. The layered pieces, like the memories we collect, overlap; Revealing and concealing. Remembering those tranquil balmy mornings, alongside those dark tempest evenings with tone, texture and form. Trying to merge the memories into one gentle composition. The artwork is signed on the back and can be displayed 4 different ways, as the viewer sees best. It only needs a simple glass frame for hanging.
