About The Artwork

I love the statue of Meritaten which I saw in the museum in the Louvre. The expression of this woman has always impressed me. I have painted her in pencil, then made digital improvements and I have also painted her in Gouache. Only lately I have found out that she is also known as Queen of Scotland having fled Egypt with her husband and then settled in Scotland many centuries ago. She is also known as Scotia or Scota.
