Mother Artwork

The work shows a picture of a woman hanging her head. At her feet lie her lost children. Above her, to her left, are shapes that could be leaves of trees but also could be wings. To the upper right of the picture an old person shuffles away. The image merges together dying, childhood, replenishment, and decrepitude. These are all parts of what we call "life". They all combine together into a meaningful whole in a way that cannot be clearly comprehended by the intellect but which can somehow be emotionally understood.
