ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This large framed piece is ready to hang and is called Neon Garden. It is made using a technique called punchneedle embroidery and is stitched together with wool on linen fabric. It has a sculptural three dimensional effect using different embroidery stitches to emphasise the florals within the garden. The bright, neon colours create a surreal atmosphere to remind you, the viewer, that this is a world only found in our imaginations. The tiny tiger is woven in a traditional celtic design to emphasise my love of celtic art and design.
