About The Artwork

Oracle bone script (Chinese: 甲骨文; pinyin: jiǎgǔwén) is an ancient form of Chinese characters that is the oldest known form of Chinese writing. Oracle bone writing was engraved on oracle bones, which were animal bones or turtle plastrons that were used in pyromantic divination during the late 2nd millennium BC. The shape of turtle plastrons and animal bones are so pretty and charming which I design patch with 12 Chinese zodiac as the whole design. I laid with oil, acrylic layers by layers as the background. The turtle plastron , animal bones and 12 Chinese Zodiac are the collage technique.
