Icons are images that have the power to represent with a few simple traits, an entire chain of data that our brain processes and elaborates when it sees the corresponding icon represented. Icon of the orisha goddess Oshun. Orishas are deities of the Yoruba religion who are believed to have acted as intermediaries between the gods and men. The Yoruba religion has its origins in West Africa. Much of their believers were used as slaves in the Americas, and were forbidden to have a belief of their own, for this reason Africans disguised their gods as saints of the Christian religion. But when freedom came, these ancient forces that had never died, flourished vigorously, not only in communities of African origin, but everywhere in the world. Oshun is the deity that represents love, emotions and feelings, and is also a symbol of femininity and fertility. Protector of women and maternal wombs, Oshun also owns the river, gold, honey and sweetness. However, she is an Orisha of strong impetus, very severe, inflexible and intolerant to injustices, especially when a woman is a victim of violence. She can be seen as a somewhat weak deity, not only because of her status as a woman, but because of her beauty, joy and bond with material wealth, jewellery and money but it's actually one of the most influential goddesses. Why buying Oshun ? To activate in your psyche, through a psychomagic process, the power of attracting money, material goods, prosperity, joy, spiritual joy but also sexual joy. Everything that we normally pretend to disdain but that actually is ambition of almost (almost) all of us.
