ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The work of Santiago Esteban Glez recovers the sense of beauty and color of German expressionism through a renewal of the artistic medium and through mixed techniques. The work is conceived for printing in large formats that enhance the explosive character of the composition and open the senses to the viewer's inner world. With multiple themes and inspirations, the different collections of the author are a journey to the expression of feelings and spiritual outbursts, rather than the objective description of reality. We can find different trends, from the exaggerated to the most minimalist, but the same common thread: a cry of color through overlapping digital strokes and layers and surround acrylics. From his violent colors and modern technique, his paintings open new dimensions to the imagination and form a renewal in the digital artistic language, where the exciting thing is the chromatic impact, which is intentionally altered.
