I work with a variety of creative mediums, including location and studio photography, digital painting & illustration, watercolour & gouache painting, and pencil & ink drawing. I frequently combine elements from several disciplines, as the finished image dictates. I am not a purist: the end result is what really matters to me. By sometimes scanning my original paintings & drawings I am able to overlay a variety of computer digital techniques to further enhance my work. My Ltd Edition mixed media paintings are created from the finished computer artwork in this way. My more illustrative work is strongly influenced by the traditions of impressionism & pointillism (Claude Monet, George Seurat & Gustav Klimt) ------------------------------------------- Based in beautiful Nidderdale, North Yorkshire, I derive much of my creativity from my local surroundings. Many of my paintings and photographs are inspired by my local landscape. ---------------------------------------------- My landscape photographs try to convey the silence and wonder I sense in the countryside throughout the seasons - particularly the Winter months and the transformative natural beauty of snow, frost and ice. ---------------------------------------------- My paintings explore the spirituality & essence of nature itself. My woodlands and forests are brimming with secrets, shaped by the seasons and weathered by the elements. My night-scapes are windows into the soul... full of faith, optimism, and a life-long yearning for knowledge among moonlit & star-filled skies. --------------------------------------------- As a published artist, my photographs and paintings already feature across a broad range of brochures, magazines and book covers. ------------------------------------------ Images are exclusively available through Saatchi Art as special low volume high quality limited editions of 20 medium size and 10 larger size. Editions are Giclee printed onto heavyweight 315gsm archival fine art photo paper with an ample border. Each limited edition print run has been faithfully reproduced with great attention to detail by my local fine art printer & comes personally signed, numbered and titled, together with a signed certificate of authenticity. ----------------------------------------------- I always post out my artwork orders promptly, rolled and securely bubble wrapped inside wide 16cm diameter toughened cardboard tubes for a speedy safe transit.
