ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Simple, minimal, modern, abstract, monochrome wall art. Inspired by the Minimalism and Dada art movements. This ivory off-white and black line object is engraved encaustic wax on reclaimed wood. One-of-a-kind hand-cut wobbly shape and hand-carved curved pattern. Ready to hang as-is, with spacers so to appear to float in front of the wall 1/2". Signed and dated on the back. Encaustic art involves fusing heated beeswax and damar resin on the surface of the substrate. The results are a soft, barely opaque, molten surface full of nuance and character that catches the light.
