Xavi Castel is a Catalan artist born in 1965 in Barcelona. In 2014, he moved to Italy, settling in Vicenza, where he currently resides. His passion for art and his constant search for beauty have led him to experiment with very different artistic styles, until making them his own through a personal and distinctive touch. In his early years, he focused on encaustic painting, an ancient technique where fire is used instead of a brush, and beeswax is the material to be transformed. In these works, attention is drawn to the uniqueness of the result, created by the skilled interplay of light and shadow, density, and transparency. He is currently exploring the world of Neo Pop Art, producing impactful works that emphasize the underlying message and strong visual impact.
