Time is my material. Not thread. Not fabric. Not technique. Time itself. Anastasiia Yurkova is a Ukrainian contemporary artist currently based in Poland. Her practice is rooted in hand embroidery — a medium she approaches with precision, discipline, and emotional depth. While textile remains her primary form of expression, it is not her only one; Yurkova often explores other materials and formats to extend the conceptual reach of her work. Her embroidered portraits, silhouettes, and abstract faces reflect a unique fusion of pointillism, expressionism, and minimalist abstraction. Each piece is a meditative study of presence — where every stitch becomes a mark of time, a memory, or a silent gesture. Yurkova’s art balances tactile intimacy with a strong conceptual foundation. Deeply personal yet universally resonant, her works invite the viewer into quiet spaces of reflection, vulnerability, and connection.
