Biography Bio – Laser 3.14 (Amsterdam 1972) Laser 3.14 is a renowned Amsterdam-based street artist, poet and painter whose work has been part of the city’s cultural fabric for over 25 years. Known for his signature one-liner texts sprayed across construction fences and walls, he has become an unmistakable voice in the urban landscape. His work carries a mix of raw energy, poetry, and social reflection at once universal and deeply personal. Over the years, Laser 3.14’s art has moved from the streets into galleries and museums worldwide. He is represented in the Amsterdam Museum’s permanent collection and has collaborated with international brands such as H&M, Ikepod, and Fritz-Kola, while also maintaining his underground credibility. Growing up surrounded by comics, music, and graffiti, his early works of the 1990s were highly detailed canvases influenced by graphic storytelling. These pieces laid the foundation for the stripped-down, powerful text-based works he is now known for. Today, his artworks, whether canvases, laser-cut pieces, or sculptural objects remain true to the ethos that made him an icon: uncompromising authenticity, poetic sharpness, and a relentless dialogue with the world around him. Each piece is unique, hand-signed, and carries the immediacy of the moment it was created.
