CHEMA RIVAS Born in Seville (Spain) in 1953; he enters the world of photography at the age of 12, with his first analog camera, which will be followed by numerous models of the time. It is in 1980 when he acquires his first professional analogue equipment, with diverse lenses, and professional analog laboratory. Self-taught, he develops a wide experience in the field of "black and white", until the year 2005 that is passed to the digital field. His connection with professional design began in 1990, thanks to his brother and his team.His facet as a musician begins in a self-taught way at the age of 16, playing the guitar; at 18 he works professionally in music.Performs advanced studies in electronic physics, mathematics and music (guitar specialty). He develops an extensive teaching career for 30 years, until in 2016 he dedicates himself first to his experimental experience of audiovisuals, feature films and short films ... and it is in 2017 where he changes to make all his current visual, photographic and plastic works. As of the year 2000, he also began to study jazz in a self-taught way, which during 10 years will help him to apply them in his classes at the Conservatory of Music. As of the summer of 2018, he lives between New York and Almeria (Spain). All that meeting of science, art, photography, video, animation, and digital painting ... make him develop a very own and eclectic style, based fundamentally on improvisation and experimental research, in all fields; As a result of this, it is the 15 international awards obtained in its photographic-pictorial facet, and the 92 in its audiovisual facet (between 2015 and 2018). Currently, at 65 years of age, he is considered by some of the great international art critics ... as one of the most important photographers of our time, and that his work, is a masterpiece, that will go down in history.
