Geometric abstraction refers to the art form of abstract painting or sculpture, but also partially breaks its boundaries. It uses geometric objects such as squares, rectangles, triangles, circles and ellipses. Typical of geometric abstraction are clearly recognizable lines and the division of the image content into individual areas. The color palette used includes primary colors and achromatic colors such as black, white and gray, in all tones. The image content is therefore not representational. The image completely dispenses with representational content. The focus is on the interplay of colors and shapes. I see this topic as an artistic challenge and as a suitable medium to give the works the form of expression that is valid for me.
