About The Artwork
Doppleganger is inspired from Jordan Peele's movie Us. I chose this subject matter as I wanted to convey this notion of our other living along side us, in a parallel world or even just within ourselves in how we show our different versions to different people, but show this in an artistic way using different colours denoting the different sides of the same person which are shown back to back in this piece. I want the viewers to think of how colours can reflect our different selfs an personalities and as themselves which of these differences is really Us.
