About The Artwork

I took this photograph of the incredible Hawa Mahal in Jaipur in November of 2018. This beautiful pink sandstone palace has over 500 kaleidoscopic windows! A little bit of heaven on Earth.

Allison Bagg is a photographer and digital media manipulator, opening portals and doorways to alternate realities. After graduating from UC Berkeley with a degree in Film Studies, she found her voice in visual storytelling through advertising and media jobs. On the side, she cultivated and developed her style through photography and digital collage, using the virtual space of social media as a testing ground. Traveling has been her biggest inspiration - the sights, the sounds, the colors, and the food all weaving a thread to create the tapestry of her work. In the last year alone, she has traveled to Egypt, India, Mexico, Iceland, Indonesia and the Czech Republic. She hopes to continue to discover more beautiful pockets around Mother Earth, her ultimate muse. Regardless of physical travel, we are all timeline travelers choosing our path one decision at a time. Through her work, Allison aims to create portals for people to enter and traverse, showing the beauty and magic that is all around us. She currently resides in Los Angeles, California and has shown at The Other Art Fair, LA, Salt Gallery, Studio Mome and the New Museum in NYC in partnership with Infinite Objects. She has been published in Curatorial Volume. 2, Leaders in Contemporary Art as well as ArtFolio2020. Feel free to reach out to her with jokes, useless facts and existential queries.
