Watercolor artist exploring the quiet presence of life through nature, light, and form.
My work is inspired by the quiet presence of nature and the timeless language of simple forms. Through watercolor and mixed media, I explore light, transparency, vessels, and botanical forms as subjects of attentive observation.
I am drawn to objects and plants that often go unnoticed — dried seed heads, wild-growing vegetation, glass bottles, and vessels with unique shapes. In their stillness, I find an endless source of visual and emotional discovery. Rather than depicting dramatic events, I focus on subtle moments of existence: the way light rests on a surface, how a form occupies space, or how a plant continues to express its individuality through shape and structure.
Slow observation is at the heart of my practice. I often work directly from life, spending time with the objects I paint and allowing the image to develop through contemplation, repetition, and quiet attention. Sketches, studies, and material exploration become part of an ongoing dialogue with the natural world.
Watercolor is my primary medium because of its transparency, sensitivity, and ability to capture both precision and unpredictability. I am interested in creating a sense of air, silence, and presence — spaces where forms can simply exist.
My paintings invite the viewer to slow down and look more closely. Through light, color, and observation, I seek to create contemplative moments that reconnect us with the quiet richness of life as it is.
