ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My landscapes are a departure from normal reality. I want to present a colorful visual experience. We are often surrounded by beautiful scenery, but also by picturesque poverty. I feel the simple landscapes becomes more provoking with the disturbing juxtaposition of poverty and plenty. I want to make the viewer uneasy and open to interpretation.
