This Artwork (# 27) includes a wooden frame.

In the post-truth era, with the world in turmoil and all the negative images we are contstantly being bombarded with, I really felt the need to step back, into what I call 'my own alternative reality', and to start creating large bright colored works, as a personal necessary response, so to speak, to these uncertain times we live in, in which hybrid warfare, singularity, Fake News and 'alternative facts' are the issues of the day.

In 'my own alternative reality' everything is light, colorful, bright and radiant.

I hope these works reflect the joy it brought me creating them.

The works of The Gold and Copper Collection are built up with layers of colors and created with brush, palet knife and 23.75K Gold and/or Copper.
All works are ready to hang, no need for framing as the sides of my paintings are as important as the front of the works.

Jacqueline Mac Mootry-Everaert is a Dutch artist who lived and worked in Brazil, the Caribbean and The Netherlands. She travelled around the world for 15 years, finding inspiration on all (but one) continents. She has exibited in London, New york, Paris, Amsterdam, Dubai, Düsseldorf and other major cities. Her work is held in private collections around the globe. Dynamic colors, rich depth and atmosphere through layers and textures are the artist's trademark. Jacqueline received a 3-year classical education in 17th Century techniques and realistic oil painting in The Netherlands, and more recently in figure/nude drawing at the Klassieke Academie Groningen, also in The Netherlands. Since 2016 she found her passion in creating larger colorful Abstracts, built up through layers of acrylic paint and 24ct gold leaf. (Abstract Expressionism) You may contact the Saatchi team for commissions, or information on the works displayed.
