Lesya Karebina - modern artist, designer, photographer. (Voronezh, Russia). Technique: acrylic on canvas Genre: Abstract Expressionism. The main theme of my creative search in paintings is the relationship of a person with the world around him, the influence of space on our feelings, emotions, self-awareness and experiences, and as a result, life itself. The main question that I explore with the help of painting is how it is possible to transform this very reality through art. Abstract painting attracts me every day more and more, depriving the world of shackles, expanding the boundaries of perception, strengthening and exposing connections with the world of my own emotions. I interpret reality through the prism of broad strokes, glazes and points of contact of different colors. This is an amazing play of the imagination. Color is the main driving force behind my creativity. Bright, rich, life-affirming color palette is practically devoid of black pigment. And this reflects my philosophy in life in the best possible way: to extract the maximum joy from every day, to focus on the pleasant, and to accept the negative as an indisputable fact of being, reflecting, but not getting hung up. For me, the artistic process is akin to meditation, and it is more important than the finished concept. I work with a lot of layers, transparent and opaque, using a variety of art materials; following my intuition, trusting the process. I explore the materiality of this world through its impermanence, and spirituality through constant self-knowledge and reflection.
