About The Artwork

The second impeachment of Donald Trump, the 45th president of the United States, occurred on January 13, 2021, one week before his term was due to expire. Trump’s impeachment by the House of Representatives came after his attempts to overturn the 2020 United States presidential election; the adopted article of “incitement of insurrection” cited his January 2 phone call with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and alleged that Trump incited the storming of the United States Capitol on January 6. He is the only U.S. president and the only holder of any federal office to have been impeached twice, having been previously impeached in December 2019 for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. All components are painted on acid-free mount-board, and then glued onto acid-free mount-board. Two coats of matte acrylic varnish are then applied.
