4 seasons Painting

This painting, to me, represents a whole year. It’s called 4 seasons, because I’ve used summer, fall, winter, and spring colors. The main color is green, and it is most prominent, but in the background you can see the other colors shine through just enough to look at the painting for that extra minute because you just can’t take it all in with the first glance. It takes a second look to see the depth of the painting. The white half circles in the middle represent a blurry tunnel. Because this painting is about 4 seasons (one year) I saw a tunnel fitting because often times people talk about the tunnel to success, the tunnel that holds all of the opportunity at the end, the pot of gold, the love you need, or whatever may be most important to you. Coming back to why I painted this specifically on this painting, I find that it’s amazing what you can achieve in a year. You can reach the end of that tunnel before 4 seasons have past, as long as you believe in yourself. The reason it's blurry, is because often people have trouble seeing this tunnel in real life. Everybody has opportunity, yet only a few see sharply enough to recognize it, and take action. In fact, if you look at the painting for long enough, the tunnel isn't blurry anymore. There are just multiple tunnels overlapping, as are opportunities. This painting is part of my collection entitled: "Experimentalem" (Experimental in Latin) I experiment with many different styles, mediums, and canvasses. When a painting of this collection is sold, all the profits go to a charity. The buyer can choose what charity the profits are donated to, or I can choose one. This collection is very experimental, and is a learning experience for me. I can try new things, and give my creativity a big boost. Every painting in this collection is unique, and has a story behind it. I don't make purely abstract paintings, but rather abstract expressionism. Once you understand the story behind each painting, the painting itself becomes even more interesting.
