About The Artwork
This watercolor painting is titled " A Balance". It was a time where balance in life was most important to me as an artist. Driving in rural PA, life here is about balance. The fields, sky, and the buildings. All needing space and balance. The farmers here rotate the crops in each field to help balance the soil. The painting is 7" x 9" with a white border that makes it 8" x 10". I like the border, but some folks don't. The painting is signed and dated in the border. I started drawing at 3 when I colored my parent's black and white TV. I wanted a color TV. It didn't work. Poor Dog Farm is the farm and studio I own here in beautiful southern PA. The house is an old Victorian, built in 1890, with the original farm buildings still standing. We are very rural here still, and most of my inspiration comes from the land. The old farms, animals, and nature are always in the body of my work. There is a strong backbone to the landscape here.. with deep emotions. Take care, Sam Georgieff
