Abstract and Color Expressionist Allison Reece Artist Statement and Goals: As an artist, I am truly in love with the painting process. I believe as the artist submits to the creative journey, something deep within the soul is ignited. And if properly nurtured and developed something beautiful occurs, however a healing and spiritual experience is also birthed. Thus, shared with others, art becomes a type of conduit that transforms the human soul or environment. My art is about the expression of my passion for color and texture. Often, I think of my work as a continual study of the relationship between colors. How they meet, how they respond to each other, the messages the colors offer, and how we feel when we experience the drama of colors forming and moving across the canvas. An incredible mystery begins, when two of nature's elements, color and texture are combined. These unique elements are vital to our lives and our spaces. I consider myself a color expressionist and presently painting on an intuitive level, even though I am a trained painter in realism. My work varies since I am work on an intuitive level. I seek to reach many viewers through this intuitive work by using this creative process of adding and removing. My goal is to give room for the colors and textures to speak for themselves and bring about the mood or change in your home or office that you seek. I do believe art can bring about a feeling of creative energy to a setting that is in need of energizing or removing negative energy. You can bring that transformation instantly through art.
