A Journey Unfolded Painting

Juan Shi, a Chinese-British artist, began her artistic journey at age three, driven by a passion for drawing and painting people. Initially self-taught, her talent earned early recognition in group exhibitions and competitions, including winning third place in a prestigious competition. Since 2012, Juan embarked on an artistic rediscovery, exploring workshops in London and abroad, including a Tempera Painting Techniques workshop in Florence. In 2022, Juan received the Hertford Art Society's Enid Fairhead Award for her oil painting, "Head Study." Driven by a desire to bring life on canvas, Juan’s art blends realism with classical techniques. At the Angel Academy of Art in Florence, she refined her portrait skills under the guidance of Maestro Michael John Angel and Jered Woznicki. Works like "MY LIFE, MY MASTERY" and "A JOURNEY UNFOLDED" demonstrate her dedication to realism and classical methods. Influenced by Renaissance and 19th-century painting, as well as hyper-realistic oil portraits, Juan's creative evolution continues.
